People like this will be hit by the pyroclastic cloud and they'll still be saying "It's just greater awareness than in the past, over the average no more or less than usual." It's circular logic and therefore preferred by the common man who is not too good at dealing with reality.

We just don't know enough to put three months of different activity into context. It could be a start of a new pattern, or it could be an aberration.
