Bill doesn't know that when ice core measurement instruments improved, it became obvious that all climate change is rapid climate change. The problem in the past was that the instruments were only precise down to thousands of years - so we were told it takes thousands of years for the climate to flipflip and toggle from cold to warm and back again. This was all wrong. This is well understood by any well informed laymen since the early 90's. It often takes less than 20 years for an interglacial event. The super rapid flipflop is the rule, not the exception.

Bill doesn't know that a single volcano in a single day routinely produces many orders of magnitude more ash and soot than the whole of mankind has produced in the past 200 years of industrial activity. This volcanic ash is more toxic and more dangerous in the air than anything humans have ever released. A single volcano has asphyxiated the mammals of an entire continent in the past in less than a week. Volcanos can black out the Sun for a hundred years and fire hundred ton masses into the air at escape velocity. Men and all their works are nothing in comparison. A nuclear war is like a girl scout jamboree compared to a super-eruption. A hundred years of draconian tyranny on Earth to eliminate "carbon emissions" could be ruined in one hour by any volcano on the planet merely clearing it's throat.

Bill doesn't know the Earth's climate has been ten times warmer with ten times the concentration of CO2 and apparently very healthy for life at the time indeed.

Sgt. Skull On The Real Horror Of Warfare

I feel like I have an enormous lot in common with Tom Chittum. I am the anonymous mud soldier who has been there and seen the reality of these things with my own eyes. I am the soldier who never got promoted, never got recognized until he came to the end of his term and then was called the greatest soldier who had ever donned a uniform for a short while. All these same things have happened to Chittum. Chittum wasn't given many medals despite he did more real fighting than all the back office desk soldiers ever submitted themselves awards for. Chittum fought behind a wall of body bags for days while suppressing successive waves of Viet Cong charging their position. The U.S. government sent them up there expecting them to die and some of them broke ranks and had the temerity to survive and come back down off that hill. I know about seeing behind the curtain and knowing what is really happening because I was the boots on the ground. I can't talk about a lot of things I saw in the military other than I learned that every single thing governments tell their people is a lie. Not one word of it is true. With the advent of the green screen it has become utterly impossible to even trust what you think you are seeing. That's why they make soldiers sign so many declarations of secrecy when they get discharged - they don't want them to ever talk about what they saw. So I never have. I kept my side of the bargain and in return the Army agreed to remove me from the selective service rolls. They kept their side of the bargain as well and I moved to Australia and have never heard from them since and hope I never do. My worst fear over the past 20 years was expecting a letter in the mail ordering me back to duty for one of these conflicts even when I was in my fifties. I'm glad it never arrived.

Vietnam was the war that America used to start concentrating on mainly killing unarmed noncombatants, mostly women and children. Chittum saw the Viet Cong were primarily funded and aided by communist fifth columns in New York city - he found the incriminating paperwork and held it in his own hands. All of these people are not in separate camps of opposition - they're all in it together. The only people doing the real fighting and dying are the children of the poor sent as their butchers. Pretending to be dichotomies is what they do. Ultimately none of these wars is real at all - they are floor shows where real live human beings are killed to add to the dramatic effect.

Whatever noble causes they tell the rubes the war is fought over, the reality is all in that billboard photo in the top of the article. It's just about body counts and if it isn't the enemy they will shoot civilians at random to reach them. In recent years I have a sense that civilians are the only people dying in these wars any more at all. Someday soon, the mass extermination of civilians will become the purest expression of the psychosis of warfare with whole populations vanishing in an instant.

Trust me, this subject is much, much bigger than homosexuality. Much bigger. Once again, it's not homosexuality that is the elephant in the room. It is the bedrock of human origins that is the elephant in the room. That's the reason that normally this is a very delicate subject. Until it is about teh gay.

I think there are lots of people in our society who deeply feel that freedom is for me but hardly for thee. This is what they think our civilization is about. It's all about what they deserve just because and hardly what can be afforded everyone. The Founding Fathers could correct them in person and they'd be none the wiser. Those rights are for people who deserve them and guess who decides who deserves them? You guessed it.

I know Google censors me. Why, I've never known. To be honest, I have never really cared. I wasn't selling anything when I started Vault-Co. It was just a free blog page where I could put my idiotic impressions up every day and not have to worry what became of them. Somehow, Vault-Co managed to get over 4 million hits in the last 10 years with no advertisements, no agenda and no promotion. Right around the time the site started getting a lot of hits about 2009, Google began a campaign of making certain it never appeared in search results. Again ... seriously ... I just never gave a damn. I wasn't trying to push something when I started it. How can an organization with half the money on the planet be so terrified of some rambling, blithering Aspie retard they have to try to blot him off the internet so nobody ever reads anything by him? What, are they scared people will be exposed to the idea that dinosaurs were just birds? That Cost-Co is a post nuclear resupply depot? Think about how silly all that is. Vault-Co is not the front for a large international conglomerate backed by a dark cabal. It's just me. Posting my ideas on the internet.

Now Google is stepping it up a notch. They are censoring natural health sites. That's really bad stuff there. Really bad. What happened to "Don't Be Evil?"

Could be time to switch to Bing or one of the alternates. I don't know if I can trust Google anymore for searches if they are engaged in this kind of censorship.

They are real people who live life ... not just imitate it like sunless vampires. How many of these people can actually generate their own body heat? Not many, I would bet. Standing by one of them would leave you a with a chill they are so cold and lifeless. They need people to watch them on screen to breathe any life into them at all, like marionettes.

A Bit More Cost-Co Recon My Last Day In Ringwood

I am well aware my post on the secret depopulation end-times underground tunnels resupply facility I discovered at Cost-Co was likely my craziest blog ever on Vault-Co. If I am nuts, at least I know I sound like it.

I was studying this place for three months. In my own defense, I'd like to show you a little more of the story that was not in the last post.

I will let you make up your own mind as to whether or not I am a lunatic. You be the judge.

I want to emphasize I am not trying to start anything and have no other agendas. In particular, if you work with Australian secret services and I have stumbled onto something that is supposed to be covert I want you to know all my readers are in universal agreement that I am a village idiot who has no hostile intents and no ulterior motives. All the photos below are taken from public sidewalks in free access areas and do not represent a desire to compromise any Australian secrets. My apologies if I have read more into what I am seeing than what is reasonable. Please do not put me on any kind of a list anywhere. I am a law abiding Australian citizen who is loyal to my generous host nation.

Next door to Cost-Co, accessed by what looked like a very expensive metal bridge crossing a drainage trench (no obvious reason for it connecting to Cost-Co), is the Ringwood Telstra Exchange building. This is a gigantic concrete pillbox that looks like it was designed to survive a nuclear war. Having worked in these facilities in the past I can assure you these buildings don't get any stronger in Australia. The public information on this place declares it to be a T1 backbone access point for the Pacific. It is obvious from the outside this place has at least one underground level beneath it and it lines up perfectly with the underground twin door access I saw in the Cost-Co basement.

The Ringwood exchange looks like a military compound. It is surrounded on all three sides that do not face the sidewalk by a fence with barbed wire. It appears to be designed to quite rapidly convert into an unassailable fortress if required.

Here we are looking from the nearby corner towards Cost-Co. At left you can see the Ringwood exchange. That's a gigantic microwave transmission tower sticking up there. Can reach anywhere in the world from here by landline or radio transmission. Would appear quite simple to inventory Cost-Co and then report to any authority without ever having to come aboveground or be exposed to the outside through what may be one or more underground connections.

This building is trying to look like an unoccupied brick veneer building that appears to have been closed up for several years. Beneath the fake brick trying to look cheap you can see it is actually a formidable thick concrete pillbox similar to the Ringwood exchange. Between the two buildings there is a steel grating which you can look down through and clearly see underground drainage at least 40 feet below street level. This building looks very likely to be connected both to Cost-Co and the Ringwood exchange. The windows are one-way polarized dark glass so nothing inside is visible. You could walk past this building a hundred times and never really notice it at all. No identifying marks on any wall to even give you a clue what this structure is for.

On the other side of the Cost-Co plaza, numerous underground car parks and ramps appear to provide access to all kinds of subterranean features. This Centrelink Medical building has many clues to indicate it might also be connected to Cost-Co running right under the street. Like the others pictured it is really solid under what is a fairly placid exterior. I saw large trucks at different times driving down that ramp and vanishing into the underground car park at left with security door. You might be capable of accessing four different structures all orbiting Cost-Co without ever coming aboveground if the conditions required it.

Right behind this last photograph is the M3 Highway and one of the largest underground aqueducts in South East Melbourne. Positing there might be some way to enter it from here, you could envisage somebody going all the way to the city of Melbourne underground without having to come topside. This aqueduct is easily large enough to accommodate all kinds of vehicles to drive through it judging by photographs of it. It is about as wide as a two lane highway. Did you see my "expedient shelter" entrance posted about below in another blog? That pipe which opened up into a much wider tunnel going back is directly behind this last photograph. You couldn't make this stuff up.

Melbourne is already a city with the largest secret underground of any nation on Earth and they've been spending billions on tunneling over the past decade with almost none of it revealed to the peasants who have paid for it. They provide the tax revenues and that is the last they hear of it. 

Before you give Texas credit for his amazing observation skills, I want to tell you about the photograph I can't publish up here because it has people in it who might get angry. One of the pictures I took in the parking lot with all four of these buildings around it in a circle has three people walking to their cars while they look at their mobile phones. Closed off each in his own private little world and unable to see what is around them because they are intently focused on Candy Crush or Angry Birds on the little screen. Matt Drudge in one of his very rare interviews on INFOWARS with Alex Jones called them "Information Ghettos" which might not necessarily have bars or fences around them but nevertheless succeed in distracting the masses whilst all around them their ruling classes prepare to exterminate them forever.

Maybe the truth is that Texas is no more observant than you are - it's just I am one of the few people who doesn't have his head so far up his ass he actually notices the world around him. I hate Angry Birds, too. The elites don't care about the 1% of cranks who survive. They are big picture guys who concentrate on the raw numbers. What is important is that 99% of the plebs gone and 99% of their club remaining. They care little about the exceptions because their efforts are wasted there.

Pull that door shut behind you and spin that dial, then reach over and flip the switch to boot up CD-OS. Don't be like ordinary people working on a lifetime of dumb looks.

Cast Iron Cookware, The Only Kitchen Pans You'll Ever Need

Nothing beats these pots and pans and they have had centuries to come up with something better. They cannot improve on perfection.

If it isn't stainless steel or cast iron, I would not even bother putting it away. They are not only strong and hardy but also most importantly - safe to eat off. Those non-stick pans are pure poison, throw'em out of your kitchen. You're mostly eating plastic with those things each morning along with your omelet. Truth is if we had consumer protection bureaus that gave a damn they'd be illegal to sell.

Expedient Shelter Is Everywhere

Went for a walk at lunchtime. Been passing this thing below a pedestrian bridge for three months and wondering what it actually was. Decided to go for a look. I ambled down there to the entrance.

Walked about 10 feet up the clean dry pipe and turned left another meter into a clean, dry, odorless concrete room with an overflow grate in the upper left of the ceiling which was 7 feet high. This grate would be excellent for air intake/lookout if blocked off with something suitable on the other side. I think this pipe is supposed to service a storm drainage pit behind it which the city built so high above the waterline it never floods or very rarely. Very hot outside but cool as a cucumber inside. Another tunnel went back deeper underground into darkness but I never went much further than I have described. This other tunnel was delivering a lot of fresh cool air from somewhere else.

It was surrounded by clean white rock aboveground obviously meant to act as a drainage pit, possibly to prevent flooding in the apartment block behind it. Incredibly, there was no graffiti inside it which is really unusual because you'd think bums and drug addicts would consider this a perfect night flop inside it. I am only guessing but I think the whole structure is pretty new.

Anyway, it looked like the sort of custom built shelter you might find in a backyard in the 1950's which most people would think pretty posh. This is just something I found going for a walk during my lunch break.

If you were to seriously take up residence in this you'd have to do things like block off or conceal the entrance with camo, block off the air chimney with something to filter out the air coming in against fallout ash or other contaminants. You couldn't just drop your bugout bag inside and set up house, chances are you'd need to do some things to make it secure and fit for purpose. Nonetheless, the truth is I just found this while out for a walk in the park next door to where I work. Properly blocked off this would provide you little or no protection from blast but could protect you from lethal levels of radiation.

I was telling a Vault-Co regular the other day about how much fun it could be to do an episode of Vault-Co showing us identifying and upgrading a structure like this to turn it into a proper shelter. Would be cool if we gave ourselves an 8 hour window and saw how much we could get accomplished during that time.

I noticed while inside there were steel rebar grills on both walls you could easily hook a hammock to. A lot of preppers wonder if hammocks are good gear to put into your bugout bag - I reckon they are top gear right up there with entrenching tools. You can sling a hammock in nearly any place you find yourself to get your body and your equipment off the floor.

CostCo Australia Is The Same As CostCo America

My contract ends this week at current place of business.

I've been going to CostCo to eat lunch most days because it is so cheap.

Today after finishing off my delicious bean bake burrito I decided to go for a little exploration.

I had been looking at the elevated concrete deck and stairs over a story high for weeks outside of CostCo. I had walked the perimeter a few times and looked at this colossal building from every angle. I have a lot of experience with underground structures. I get hunches about what I am looking at, even when the builders have gone to great lengths (as I would) to conceal their handiwork.

For example, trying to disguise an air intake as a large bench and tree planter. Ordinary people don't see these things. A guy like me might as well have a large flashing sign with an arrow reading THIS WAY TO THE SUBTERRENE.

I had suspicions. I thought something might be going on there. I have read a lot about the bizarre closings of Walmarts across America, the midnight demolitions and the rumors of underground storage facilities, possibly to provide resupply to elites after a nuclear war.

Somebody was driving a pallet of consumer goods through one of the access doors to the warehouse and I waited until they passed. I walked down the ramp inside the storage center to a bunch of corridors and then down a flight of stairs. I was planning to tell anybody who asked I was looking for the restroom if discovered. I didn't see anybody for a minute or two and I was quite deep underground. Nobody would dream from the outside it went this far down.

I passed a break office with a glass window and some employees sitting inside eating lunch. I strode past and reached the corner just in time to get a look at a long corridor leading back towards the parking lot except two stories underground. It had big double doors. An entrance to something even larger.

One of the people came out of the break office and yelled at me, asking me what I was doing. I shrugged and asked where the men's room was. He gestured angrily and pointed back up the stairs. I nodded and walked meekly back the way I came.

I had really needed to satisfy my curiosity with my last day tomorrow.

A huge underground storage facility, just like these same chains all over the world. No simple reason for needing to go that deep or for it to be that extensive. I had only captured a glimpse of its expanse. I would bet if you had the keys to this facility you'd see a lot more.

Just another CostCo. Seen one of 'em you've seen'em all. The best place to hide something is in plain sight where nobody would ever suspect it. Just saying you think CostCo and Walmart may be part of a long term survival plan for the wealthy ruling class after a nuclear war sounds so crazy you'd never repeat it anywhere. It sounds utterly crazy to even say it.

UPDATE: Meant to include this in the original post. CostCo often locates their stores near natural caverns, abandoned subways and deep infrastructure tunnels. Anywhere in the world you go, you will notice this "coincidence." It is almost like it is a checkbox on their construction list before they break any ground.

Within 12 months of an episode appearing on "Black Mirror" (a particularly grim dystopian series on Netflix) you see the commercial reality appear. If you didn't know better you'd think they were trying to desensitize people to these horrible futures in advance and normalize the tech involved.

The "electronic bee" that means nowhere would be safe. The State could push a button and kill you anywhere, anytime with facial recognition. Breeding fear of such a weapon in advance could be a powerful tool in bludgeoning the population into acceptance. A lot of television seems engineered to make you slump your shoulders, roll over and die. Resistance is futile, we learn. Any resistance. The people who voted for Trump proved them wrong.

I can assure you this has nothing to do with pollination of flowers and everything to do with a guided swarm of death armies of electronic insects. Previous tyrants could only dream of such things at their fingertips.

After this one I was so scared I actually enjoyed the eternal lesbian affair in cyberspace episode. It seems like a lighthearted comic romp in comparison. It was only a brief respite before the brain chip soldier robot killers show came on. If this stuff is what the future looks like don't bother looking for me I will be with the lesbians in cyberspace.

Real Shelter Conditions

Been having a problem with water leaking through my meter thick concrete ceiling. I have had to keep tarps over the equipment. Getting my continuous integration process and automated builds going for the 27 devices hooked to my network. This is a complete build on Windows 2000 Adv Server w/Firefox 20, a very old web browser. Fully compliant to HTML5 with all the polyfills.

The terrible conditions, damp and rust in my lab are perfect because they simulate the kind of environments you expect in imperfect settings. If all my boxes work in this dump they will work anywhere. Guarantee you Batman never has these problems. Another overfunded mediocre superhero, that smug bastard. :)

This build produced some errors in my code for backward compatibility with Windows. I am considering rolling back to functionality only found in MSVCRT.DLL for Windows NT 4 to make sure that it will compile and run on any Windows machine made since 1992. Another reason to use Open Watcom for the compiler because it almost hits any machine you would ever want to compile to : DOS-16, DOS-32, Win-16, Win-32, Win-64, Linux, OS2, Netware, RTOS and ARM (with plugin) for nearly anything.

I told you about this on Vault-Co 16 years ago! I knew it was gonna get like this. As usual, I predicted things would move quicker than they actually have. Nevertheless, they moved. China is simply following the most logical course of action to insure it's own national survival by the most rational means possible - a strong deterrent to the current hegemon. Once called a sleeping dragon ... they ain't sleepin' no more. Funny how the United States had a forty year lead anticipating these developments and still blew it. China is roaring ahead in every category except maybe space-based weaponry but even then some think the U.S. is exaggerating their lead in order to give the impression they got more hardware up there ready to fly than they really have. Given that they lie about everything else that would be no cause for surprise.

One thing leads to another. Then that leads somewhere else altogether. I got the chain of causality right and I am not a crank. I was just an early bounder.

I heard it recently described very accurately in another article on World News Daily.

China is building nothing but clones of technology originally produced by Russia and America. Where they are not building clones they are building theoretical hardware proposed by the U.S. but never successfully produced - only talked about.

The problem is revealed when their implementation is examined closely.

Their clones are better versions than the original hardware. They have benefited from modifications made in response to years of data that America has gotten and not responded to.

Their clones are far superior versions of the originals. Think about that for a moment and what it reveals about the leadership of the United States. Somebody steals your tech and reproduces it with all the improvements you should have made yourself if your country wasn't disintegrating at every level culturally and economically. Sounds like several previous historical cycles with identical ends for empires.

America dreamed of the hypersonic carbon hulled long range unmanned bomber. They dreamed about it for decades. The Chinese built it and have demonstrated it. If these drones are carrying what I am almost certain they are carrying (low yield nuclear cluster bombs) then they are your worst nightmare when they appear in your skies. They will raze your cities in ways our ancestors only postulated in science fiction. I told you to over-engineer that shelter. This isn't your grandpa's thermonuclear war. This is the new sh*t.

Full Admin Through Remote Browser From Anywhere

Since the web server can run on a computer that has no keyboard, no console, no operating system to speak of and no display, the admin functions must be pretty comprehensive. I need a complete file manager, the capacity to line edit configuration data and scripts and full support for diagnostics and monitoring all through the web browser front end. I am not quite there yet but you can see most of it coming together. I am integrating the CRUD forms manager for data that formerly ran purely in HTML 1.01 a few years ago. That was taking backward compatible a little too far.

Ideally you should be able to actually repurpose and even redesign the web server application logic altogether if need be purely through the HTML interface.

Lowered Bandwidth on Map Server By 80% !!!

You can download ready-to-go map data for CD-OS from OpenMapTiles.org in MBTiles format. I use Melbourne but you can use and attach anything you want. You put it into the GEO directory and include your path to it in the configuration file, it will be attached at startup to the main database.

This is a vector tile, very low bandwidth! I was drawing those tiles myself and sending them downwind as PNG files with Cache-Control and ETag set to never expire in the browser cache.

Then I discovered this! A plug-in for Leaflet that takes delivery of the tiles in their original vector format and draws them using canvas. Incredibly, I tested this with excanvas (Explorer Canvas polyfill for older IE browsers) and it worked!!!

My map server may be cheating and it may also be doing some optimizations for smaller regions but the CD-OS map server blows Google away in speed! No lag and no delays after I cleared my browser cache and started from scratch. I compared scrolling around Melbourne in Google to scrolling around in my server and no contest. A complete vector tiles file for the entire planet will run you around 50 gigabytes at present. I would host that one except I don't think that CD-OS would fit on a floppy anymore.

Prepper Mission Omnipresence That Fits On A Floppy

Enterprise geolocation in an embedded server that fits on a floppy. My export data from OpenStreetMaps covers most of the Melbourne area with zoom level tiles. I have a dynamic DNS that allows me to browse to my test server from anywhere on Earth from any browser. Headed home I just brought the page up on my IPad and turned on series geolocation. Since I have a cookie stored with my Oauth token I was instantly authorized to send geolocation updates while driving. When I got home I was able to clean up the series with the built-in editor tools.

Since "navigator.geolocation" is not available on older browsers, I have a polyfill that statically sets a server configuration variable with the latitude and longitude of the server when the geolocation is turned on. I do this in quite a few places for IE6 and ancient browsers so that the user still gets useful data even when the browser does not support advanced features.

The map editor has a long ways to go. I am adding custom colors, custom icons and custom geomarkers with notations so your "away" team can specifically feed you data from the field on their status, observations and map markers to show when they have discovered food, water, resources, hostiles, contaminated zones and dangerous terrain (mines, military camp, etc.) plus edit the map geometry from their own device if they are authorized to do so. All this is just built-in, it just works, you run it and assuming you can reach your network somehow (implementation, "separation of concerns") you get all these features for your crew who have been approved by the administrator. The root user executive password is stored on the server in the configuration file and cannot be loaded by anybody without access to that machine drive at the keyboard locally. In every instance I have tried to add security but make it so simple it is idiot proof for the most part. Oauth is the single best way I have found to issue keys with variable control on when they expire and where they can be stored. All of my Oauth code on both server and browser would fit into three paragraphs counting the support tables in the database.

I know many people are second-guessing me with "what if GPS and all your cell towers are destroyed?" Don't worry, I have been thinking about this subject for twenty years. I will get to it. It is all just going to work. All you have to do is save your empty Pringle's cans and rustle up a little gear including solar panels. You may also need an $18 optical ethernet isolator to make sure EMP doesn't fry your network when they drop the bomb. This will be a future episode of Vault-Co dedicated to building a network that survives a nuclear war. Many of your newer and more advanced portable devices have access to GLONASS and other networks that are specifically designed to survive EMP from nuclear bursts and continue sending data even when the entire system has collapsed.

CD-OS Standalone Integrated Map Server (IE6 Compatible!)

You can't have a batcave-in-a-box without a fully integrated map server. Executable is at 1.45 MB, the entire web application still fits onto a floppy disk compressed with UPX.

The map server file is a direct export in SQLite R-Tree format of tiles from OpenStreetMap. I am hosting a database sample of tiles from just around Melbourne that is 5 megabytes resolving down to zoom factor of 18 which is enough to make out potholes. You could support the entire planet from OpenStreetMap but it may involve some path assignment to some remote folder if the map is huge and the local storage is not big enough to hold it. I was already planning to do this with UPC barcode lookups - access the reference data in a remote file path where specified. Still working out the nitty gritty details of this kind of expansion.

The drawing and notation tools all work and they were painstakingly ported from an abandoned Raphael layer editor. They are essentially a subset of Google maps at the moment but in time I will support all vector custom icons in addition to the map marker. At present you can draw a complex layer of regions, polygons and markers but it is not quite saved to GeoJson correctly, I have to add some more conversions. This is in VML fallback when SVG is not supported and looks identical on IE6, I tested it about one hour before I posted this blog.

I need a rich ability to select filter layers to turn off custom overlays of radioactive zones, contaminated areas, explored regions, looted blocks, etc. that does not exist yet. I may start with a few hardcoded ones and after some testing find a good way to add a flexible layer system the prepper can customize to his needs.

Obviously this is a terrific tool for planning journeys and designing scavenging runs to known locations. When it is all working it will support complete trip planning including supply lists and checkpoints. At some stage if I get real-time messaging working from remote clients for websockets I could send realtime tracking geolocation messages to find all your people wherever they are at present. I have been gathering information on how to receive Soviet hardened GPS and other alternatives that might survive nuclear war and this will probably be a package in it's own right.

Finally got this working. Believe it or not the REST tile server AJAX call is only about 40 lines of C code. The real intelligence is in the data in R-Tree tables that rapidly look up the correct tiles for given viewport and GPS coordinates.

I have a polyfill for Geolocation coordinates that uses the real-time ones in the device you are carrying or falls back to hardcoded data for the server station to show you where the server is running or you are browsing from.

This map server is separate from "DIAGRAMS" which is a whole batch of additional functionality supporting arbitrary floorplans and layouts with real-time markers on them. These diagrams are intended for internal use inside the shelter or layouts of the prepper retreat buildings, etc. to assist in all kinds of planning including security. Will be demoing those pretty soon.

Once I got the basic architecture sorted out, the rest of the code is falling together really quickly, almost all of it having been working at one point or another in the past.

CD-OS : First New Look Screenshot 2017

This is not just a cosmetic shot. This is a sample after finishing off all the substructure of a grand windowing desktop. Believe it or not, this doesn't just run in a browser full-screen. It runs in Internet Explorer 6 with few differences with intelligent polyfills. Not visible in this shot is full real-time voice synthesizer which can annunciate all kinds of information that has been customized for this station. There are still gray areas and I have abandoned certain kinds of memory cleanup to the browser implementation. The problem with Javascript is that once loaded dynamically it remains in memory if any references remain to it in code. Hopefully my structure is seeing to it that the window contents are completely isolated from the wrapper around it to release it if the window is closed and the original script and div are erased. Otherwise this is amazing stuff to see running all asynchronously at once. What you see on screen isn't 1% of the functionality that is available. CD-OS really is a batcave in a box. A lot of the work was spent replacing all bitmaps with vectors either from a webfont file (compatible with IE 5.5) or a Raphael (VML/SVG back to IE5) image. This makes it pixel perfect no matter what device the browser is running on. I gradually realized over the last year that a lot of people would want to walk around with their mobile device managing their entire retreat/shelter/homestead and only vector drawn pictures and icons are truly portable.

The Dashboard is still underway, I have taken two stabs at it and have not decided where the user's custom data to lay it out should come from. I have a Flexbox layout that is intended to permit the user to simply decide what he wants to see from the shelter in a single window. It is supposed to have custom controls for all kinds of displays but I just have two kinds at the moment. There will be the facility for full vector SCADA controls in the dashboard but I have not gotten around to organizing them beyond the demo level yet.
