Why would you need to track the sun if your solar panel faces every direction all day long?!?

I can't wait until these become available. It is a brilliant, passive-energy, zero-moving-parts idea.

To be coupled with a savonius turbine for the spinning movement.
You want as much electrical energy as possible, why then waste some on a motor, when kinetic energy is also available to make the cone spin ?

Seriously, that is a brilliant idea you just put forward. Combining a VAWT with the cone shaped solar panel. Somebody needs to do a kickstarter for that idea.
