I'd look into coconut oil or at least the MCT aspect too. It's also extremely shelf stable and a highly suitable fat for humans, recommended for all vault dwellers. It's one of the big ones along with Cinnamon and Garlic.
Now for something completely -foaming at the mouth- different.
Current supplements: Damage Control Master Formula multi-vitamin (http://primalblueprint.com/products/Damage-Control-Master-Formula.html) Melatonin Krill oil (lots of Omega-3s) Tongkat Ali Maca Epimedium Extract Tribulus terrestris American Ginseng Asian Ginseng Muira Puama
Current focus foods: Indian long pepper (http://vetbiotech.um.ac.ir/parameters/vetbiotech/filemanager/new_admin/Selected%20Articles/series_8/nature10167.pdf) Himalayan pink salt Iodized salt Turmeric Extra-virgin cold-pressed coconut products (mostly homemade these days) Wet-processed, 100% Arabica bean, high-altitude coffee beans Green tea Black tea Garlic All leafy spices like sage and thyme Cayenne pepper Sauerkraut Bovine colostrum Cheese products (mostly homemade these days, for the casein) Butter (sometimes homemade) Xylitol Oily fish (sardines, wild salmon, etc.) Red meat (preferring wild or pasture feed, for the creatine) Bananas (for the seratonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine) Pineapples (for the bromelain) Alkali-processed dark chocolate (anti-cancer and strength building) Honey
Supplements I'm considering: Astragalus (for the telomere lengthening) Aspirin Frankincense
In my experience garlic is most useful when I just nibble on a raw clove. Cooked, it's not nearly as effective for medicinal use.
There's nothing like raw garlic for rapidly settling a stomach that feels upset, heavy, or bloated. Perhaps only tequila/mezcal and juniper berries are in the same league.
