All of them available right now at your local supermarket.
Of course, we're prejudicial to white rice at Vault-Co, as the ultimate filler. You add enough oats and brown sugar to that, you've already dodged starving to death. Don't forget protein, it's critical. Sardines and spam will fill this out and they'll both go a hundred years with their eyes closed.

That's a good list, and I'd add peanut butter to it as well. PB last a loong time. If you have the room to store it, store vinegar. I'm not for sure on the shelf life, but it can be used for so many different things (Google it!) it's mind-boggling. And it's cheap.
I laughed at the comment after that article from the "health guru", fretting about organic this and healthy that. People like him will be wolfing down Pop Tarts and Slim Jims if they are starving, lol.
Umm. Slim Jim's! Make sure you only buy certified organic, free range Slim Jims. Yummy and they have a shelf life of 200 years.
Like you said about protein, get Spam, canned fish, or canned ham (the little Polska-brand hams), canned chicken and beef, and they will provide plenty, along with beans.
This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I enjoy seeing websites that understand the value of providing a prime resource for free. I truly loved reading your post. Thanks!
So you like rice now or have you just decided you'll eat it when you have to?
If you've discovered a yummy way to prepare it please share.
Really great article with very interesting information. You might want to follow up to this topic!?! 2011
