Buchanan's problem is that he tries to reveal truths while functioning in the context of mainstream, and that's simply impossible. The context itself is so skewed that truth can never shine through it. Besides, all you have to do is call him isolationist and mention Hitler, and the sheeple will stop caring, whereas no one else is so ignorant that they would benefit from listening to him instead of someone who doesn't dance so much around the facts.
