I saw Children of Men the other night. Not too bad a PA film. I could not tell the difference between Britain today and the Britain in the movie, however. They look the same to me.
I enjoyed the movie more for it's unique "Long-Take" directorial style and sobering look at the crushing weight of fascism (on both sides of the conflict).
There are plans on the internet out there to convert your average 300W microwave into a directed energy weapon to destroy anything with an electronic circuit up to 200 yards away.

I wish I was good with a solder gun...
It was a pretty clever movie. Some of those takes went on for so long without a cut and little CGI, they were awesome.
