There is no need to fight over oil, one of the most abundant substances on the entire planet. This is the justification used to wage war on anyone who might even be a potential threat to Israel. There is enough in the reserves alone to last us a million years. What they lost in the Gulf of Mexico as spill could have brought the price down to .10 cents a gallon. Instead we are going for a ride on this ship of fools right down the sluice of World War III.

Russia : ITZ COMING, SOON
Russia is feeling the pressure to get off the fence and formally join up with the rest of the nations on the winning team in the coming World War.
China has got 5000+ miles of missile tunnels and is deadly serious about emerging the victor. All Russia has to do is support them with some tactical moves and WW3 will be wrapping up in a couple of weeks.
Anybody who thinks this is all sabre rattling has completely lost the plot. Whenever I hear some idiot say this looks like the start of a new Cold War I pity him. This is a hot war coming.

Jane Jacobs and the Surrender of the High Ground
After I discovered Lewis Mumford back in the early 90's I discovered one of his influences, Jane Jacobs.
You know how feminists are always claiming that men produce no more genius than do women and then when you ask them if they can tell you of one female genius, they always offer you some marxist mediocrity crazier than catsh*t who doesn't have one outstanding work in her lifetime that is anything but a vanity publishing piece?
Well, I've got news for you.
The female genius exists - and she is a Canadian. One thing we can say with certainty of any female genius is that they will never be recognized as such by any feminist.
Jane Jacobs would have to be one of the most brilliant people I have ever read. She was a student of the decline in a way few men and almost no women have been since. Jane Jacobs was the shizznit. She was the juice. Jane passed more brain cells in her last bowel movement than half of the tenured economists in the U.S. have in their entire heads.
Of course, she was not properly read. Not properly understood and never really appreciated. Just like all the male geniuses of note you could think of.
Jane took things that scholars had been telling people for centuries are far too complex for laymen to comprehend and reduced them to a few sentences that so clearly illuminated the subject they left little or no room for dissension.
Out of all her ideas, not a single one was ever politically correct but the most damning was the startling recognition of one trend in a civilization that cannot be reversed and leads to its imminent destruction. The surrender of the cities. The cities are the high ground. You can't run a nation from a cabin in the suburbs. That's not how real life works. Civilizations rise and fall on the contents of their great cities, despite the balance of objectivity and reason usually being found in the rural areas.
Once the dominant demographic of the people who built America evacuated the cities in the 1950's and turned them over to completely unproven strangers, the fate of the United States was already sealed. Nobody runs a society from the suburbs amongst the strip malls. That was not going to happen. Once you lose the high ground of the cities, you have effectively abdicated your society. There is no substitute for the power centers and once captured by your enemies, you don't get them back.
Jacobs is such a wealth of insight and clarity I don't know where to tell you to begin but I recommend the link above as an introduction to this astonishing woman. I advise you to read DARK AGE AHEAD if you can get it.
