Gay men father more children than heterosexual men for the same reason and at the same time they avoid child rearing obligations.
When I say there are seriously flawed holes in evolution, I'm not kidding. I'm speaking now as an observant atheist, not a Christian, for purposes of objectivity. Basic evolutionary theory has holes in it you could drive a truck through. This is just the tip of the iceberg here.
You could honestly say that Neanderthals were the absolute pinnacle of evolution if you really believe that is where they came from. It was nadir only sustained by the intense cold of a million years. After the Holocene started it all began to fall apart at the hands of cuttlefish like the one discussed above. No need for a creature as virtuous and integrated as the Neanderthal to exist. Much cheaper, simpler genetic strategies were actually more, not less, effective.
We know that Neanderthals were the origin of the capacity to blush. In Genesis, "Adam" means the man who shows blood in the face. The word "Adam" has it's foundations in the Adamite mountains where the clay makes the whole terrain brilliantly red. In the apocrypha, this is the very dust that God formed Adam from. The capacity to be "ruddy" in itself (identical to "Adam" in Hebrew) comes from the Neanderthal genome. The soldiers in the Army used to say that technically, I wasn't a white man. I was a pink man.
It is a terrible thing that happened to the Neanderthal people. Whom is it the Bible is really speaking of? Who is it that God made himself especially concerned with? Before the conversions of Berbers and Khazars, where did these scriptures really come from? The Bible is much, much older than any modern people suspect in my opinion. It has traveled through the hands of many different peoples each in turn but I wonder who it really was that wrote it originally.
It is terrible punishment that fell on the Neanderthals. As hinted in the Epic of Gilgamesh and other places, they appear to be singled out for reasons we may never fully understand.
You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
Amos 3:2
