Something Wrong With Snowden
I agree.
Too smooth. Too polished. Too targeted a message.
I agree with Wolf.
The regime wants people to know they are being watched at all times. This is just the means to publicize that fact.
Something about Snowden rings a bell in me from my brief classes in Psy-Ops in the military. He just sounds and acts like some of our rehearsal exercises. That's not how real people speak. He sounds like he has memorized his agenda in advance and practiced the script until it sounds natural.
The guy doesn't sound bright enough to have the motivations he claims. I did not find him convincing. I never doubted a word he was saying about the surveillance, it is just that I do not believe he is a genuine whistleblower.
It never ends with these guys. How can you tell when they are lying? Their lips move.
I want you to know, there was never a day I didn't sit in Psy-Ops classes and feel a strange thrill thinking about two different secrets I was keeping ... I lied. I am getting out of this shabby military in six months with an honourable discharge. Also, these idiots have given me free classes that will provide me with insights into their appalling lies for the rest of my life. They'll never fool me again after this. The only real dishonesty I ever committed effectively in my life was pretending all that garbage did not make me sick to my stomach. I noticed even back in those days they at least pretended their motives for doing these things were essentially benevolent. I know now that was never true.

Peasants Losing Library Card Privileges Worldwide
You couldn't make this stuff up. It is straight from the pages of dystopian science fiction. Of course, since soon nobody will be able to read any dystopian science fiction, it may not be possible for them to ever realize they live in a dystopian society.
If the government closes down the libraries, I don't see a big need for tax revenues. It is a primary responsibility and when they surrender it, we can safely assume they have lost their reason to exist. Unless you consider their reason now is oppressing the people who live there.
Are modern police paid with tax revenues to protect the taxpayers or are they merely henchmen for the State? Do they spend the majority of their time protecting persons, property and liberty or the majority of the time stripping people of those things without due process? Who does the State spend most of their time fighting? Where does their focus lie? Are they the primary enemy of human beings worldwide?
Funny how I was just reading agitprop stories similar to this one about changes to libraries here in Australia, "reimagining them," I think they call it. Which means taking all the books out of them. But of course this initiative has nothing to do with that initiative. It just happened at the exact same time on different sides of the planet purely by chance. THERE IS ONLY BIOLOGY. THE LEFT ARE BIOLOGICALLY DAMAGED PEOPLE. They are the botched. The bungled. The busted. There is nothing to debate. Nothing left to prove on this subject with science.
People who don't have the brains, guts or brawn to terrorize other human beings, steal their stuff and assert their psychosis in the open are weaklings and cowards who want the State to do it for them by proxy. They want the State to strip people of their security, property, health, national identity and human dignity. They don't want these things because they are the good guys. They want these things because they are bad, bad people. Rotten. Gone off, like spoiled meat. You don't have to be completely stark raving mad dribbling gibbering insane to be on the left, but it doesn't hurt.
The reason the leftist hates God is because it represents the final hurdle to his impulses, which he can't control. God represents order, principles of conduct, constraints and the rule of law. God is an obstacle to them raping, killing, stealing and running absolutely amuck, which is the only thing they have ever really wanted to do. They hate God because he represents the father figure who tells them that they have to demonstrate self-control. They are missing the amygdala at the center of their brain, so self-control will never be attainable for them. Who are we to question God, who makes some vessels to be broken to the greater glory of those he preserves?
Every study of the psychology of the left done over the past century has demonstrated that the leftist has a sharp subconscious conviction of his innate inferiority that is well justified.
They are destroyers. They used to die young and pose no threat to the human gene pool. Nowadays, they outnumber healthy people.
They are a DEATH CULT. This biological group is the reason that our civilizations are cyclic and rarely last longer than two hundred years. It takes about a hundred years for these assholes to get their boots on and begin their march through the institutions, which they promptly turn into caricatures of real life that flatter their vanity. You never heard truer words spoken.

What will Vault-OS 2.0 Look Like?
I got these running on the DOS-32 bit protected mode server last night.
I have been shifting all interfaces into the HTML UI wherever possible. After some heavy research and experimentation with XForms that began in 2006, I finally found a delivery system that also permits the user to design his own console interfaces ... in the browser.
I am running a SOAP service on an unused port that delivers the raw XForm file to devices that may be too small to support a compliant browser (almost anything back to IE 5.5 will work) so that if necessary, custom distributed UIs can be delivered to tiny screens and displayed by local parsers.
Guess what else I have running in a flat DOS-32 bit protected mode INETD server? TELNET, FTP, NTP, ECHO, UPNP (the new Vault-OS discovery system over the network), Lua Server Pages, LuaSQLite, Google Protocol Buffers via UDP and other stuff you probably would not believe until you saw it with your own eyes.
There are no real-time embedded devices being monitored in this setup at present. I am trying to work out a cooperative threaded scheme on DOS reading generic serial ports (RS-232, RS-485, I2C, CANBus, Modbus) without requiring DesqView to be installed in order to run daemons. There may be a role in this system eventually for DesqView but at present I am running all of this stuff off one big DOS4GW protected mode stub with shared polling of the sockets involved. The reason that serial ports are so attractive is that it is possible to write hardware interrupts for incoming data (real-time responsiveness) in tandem with my co-processing server system. So I can get this whole mess running together on a DOS(!) server like a bat out of hell, zero config, zero maintenance.
I can only spare an hour a night on this system, I am also working hard to get my game finished. Once my game is released I am going straight onto VOS as hard as I can.
The goal is to create an entire Vault-OS installation on a single floppy that can service up to a hundred generic workstations (cheap thin clients) with the only dedicated machine being the VOS server itself. If it breaks down, install a floppy on another generic x86 device with zero configuration.
If it doesn't blow your mind when you see it, I give up. If you search the blog for some old screenshots of VOS, trust me the new interfaces are light years advanced, but still viewable on any old browser with HTML and JavaScript. Now if I can just find where I stashed those old LCARS stylesheets ... civilian shelters are going to have hotter automation than the most expensive military classified deep rock installations for about $30 worth of hardware.
